Easter lasted three days around our house. We started on Friday by decorating eggs. We decorated about 35 eggs. My kids love doing this.
It even held Paige's attention this year. This shouldn't have surprised me because she loves making a mess so much!
We spent Saturday at Gramma and Grampa Ashford's house. We played Easter Bingo, colored with chalk and blew bubbles.
Then we had lunch and an egg hunt. The kids had fun running all over the yard looking high and low for eggs!
They had to be careful of the cactus that is around their yard!
Danielle couldn't carry her basket so she dragged it behind her!
Then as a special treat, Gramma and Grampa took all the adults out for dinner and had Michael, Kelsey and a girl from their ward babysit. The kids watched movies and ate pizza while we were gone. It was very fun!
Daddy was trying to stall while I was finishing something in the kitchen so he made the kids wait and pose on the stairs.
This morning the kids checked out their Easter baskets and then hunted for eggs around the house. The Easter bunny color coded eggs this year.
Every time Paige found a purple egg, she screamed and ran to the egg.
Danielle was more interested in playing with the few eggs in her basket than actually hunting for them!
Everyone had their own color to look for and they were hidden in different degrees of difficulty. It was fun! We had Nana and Rick and Sherry and Baxter over for dinner. Now I am very full and ready for bed!
HAPPY EASTER everyone! Most important, we were thankful for the chance we had to think about the Savior and his sacrifice for us today. We are also grateful for his resurrection and the promise that is brings to us of also being resurrected some day!
